About Me!
Hello, I am Allie! I studied ancient military history and tactics in college. Now I am writing an epic, medieval, & dark romantasy-dystopian series that includes military elements. I also have my own podcast where I discuss and review books, shows, movies, & other works of fiction, and I post reviews on my socials, including Instagram and TikTok!
I started Myfictionaladventure because I could never talk about books, shows, manga, and games in just one place — my brain doesn't separate them, so why should the shelf? This room is that: one cozy spot for all of it, organized the way I actually think about it.
I also started an app, ScreenSocial, for sharing & reviewing movies, shows, & podcasts with your friends. I wanted to track my shows and movies, see what my friends are watching, and share recommendations with them. I could not find an app that did all that so I created my own. Please friend me on the app! I am still myfictionaladventure on ScreenSocial!
Come sit by the lamp for a while.

Sneak peek
The rest of the room is still being decorated, but the bookshelf's ready early — here's a preview of what's coming.
Reviews, reactions, and rambles — organized by genre so you can dig into exactly what you're in the mood for.
Romantasy
A Court of Thorns and… okay, one more chapter
Example post — swap with your real review
You know the feeling: "just one more chapter" at 1am, and suddenly the sun's coming up and you've finished a 500-page romantasy in one sitting. This one earns every bit of the hype — the slow burn is genuinely slow, the fae politics actually matter to the plot, and the found family hits harder than the romance does (which is saying something).
Currently rationing the sequel so it lasts more than one night.

The dystopia that actually earns its ending
Example post — swap with your real review
A lot of dystopian fiction sets up a fascinating broken world and then rushes the payoff. This one doesn't — the worldbuilding pays off in the final act in a way that made me go back and reread the first fifty pages differently.

Leveling up: a LitRPG that respects the numbers AND the story
Example post — swap with your real review
The hardest thing for a LitRPG to pull off is making the stat screens matter emotionally, not just mechanically. This series does — every level-up is earned, and I actually teared up at a skill tree once, which is a sentence I never thought I'd type.

The MMC is kidnapped and wakes up in a whole new world … literally. Can he figure out what is going on and make his way back to his wife & child?
This show is soo good! It is super thought provoking & also makes you appreciate life more. I could not stop watching this! Have so many questions going to do my next podcast about this soon.
The stack on my nightstand that never gets shorter.
Manga
A series that made me cry on public transit, again
Example post — swap with your real review
Reading this on the train was a mistake. A wonderful, tear-stained mistake.

🎮 Video Games
Cozy games, epic RPGs, and everything in between.
RPG
50 hours in and I still haven't finished the main quest
Example post — swap with your real review
Every side quest in this game feels handwritten. I keep meaning to progress the main story and instead I'm three hours deep in a fetch quest for a fictional bakery. No regrets.
